Following the success of last year’s inaugural BBC Radio 6 Music Festival at The Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, the station are going to do it all again, bigger and better, for 2015. So how do you get tickets?
This year they’re heading to Newcastle upon Tyne and featuring an ever-growing bill of over 50 bands and artists, with three days of live music and conversation, reflecting the spirit of 6 Music. These will take place across several venues, both day and night.
6 Music Festival by Night consists of Friday night at the 02 Academy Newcastle and Saturday and Sunday night at the Sage, Gateshead.
With over 40 artists across six stages over three nights, the events bring together an impressive line-up of established acts and emerging artists who represent the very best alternative music of the moment.
Tickets for each night of the festival will go on sale at 10am across three consecutive days, starting this Friday, 30th January.
Details of the 6 Music Festival by Day and 6 Music Festival Late events will be announced in the coming days.
Lauren Laverne says: “Last year’s first ever 6 Music Festival was an incredible weekend featuring a fabulous line-up of music plus conversation at the Festival Fringe. It was great to meet so many of our listeners as we listened to the great and good perform together. This year’s 6 Music Festival is going to be one to remember.”
